Registration |
NOTES: The registration form was closed and the Learning Village community has now started co-creating our journey in March. If you are a practitioner who learnt about this learning village not early enough, but have strong desire to be part of it, feel free to be in touch with one of us in calling team.
How to register and how much does it cost?
This Learning Village is an invitation into the practice of community. One of the things we want to practice is a different and more conscious relationship with money and all forms of contribution and so the economy of this village is structured a bit differently than a typical training event. You can find the registration link at the bottom of this page, but please before registering, read and consider this carefully as you decide your level of contribution.
We have developed an initial set of principles for the learning village economy. You can read them here. As we learn together as a community, we expect that these principles will be refined and clarified.
One basic principle is to keep the costs as low as possible to enable more people to participate. Let’s not allow money to be an obstacle to participation. Our economy is as an invitation for us to behave like a community in supporting all potential members to participate.
If training fees, travel, food and lodging for the hosting team and the hosts of the training tracks were included in the budget as is normally done, the necessary registration fee would need to be over $900. By practicing our principle of offering what we can, we are able to offer participation in this learning village for the incredible price of $125! But please read the ‘fine print’ as there are other ways you are asked to contribute.
Basic Participation Fee: $125 USD

The economy for this learning village is a radical application of ‘ask for what you need and offer what you can.’
Hosting & Organising
We have made the assumption that our community will have resource people who can offer to host the training tracks and who can offer to design and host the entire week. By sourcing this from our community, we eliminate the cost of fees, travel and accommodations, thereby keeping the basic participation fee low.
Abundance Fund
In response to the generosity of those members of our community who step up to host the village or one or more of the learning tracks, and those who are helping organise it, there will be the opportunity for the community to practice generosity by contributing to an Abundance Fund. This fund will be used to acknowledge and appreciate any contributions to the community or to respond to needs within the community. The actual distribution of the money in the Abundance Fund will be decided by the whole community during the Learning Village.
We invite each participant to consider what a similar experience would cost, what value they receive from the village and what their own personal financial situation allows and to contribute this amount to the Abundance Fund. There will be opportunities to contribute during the village but we encourage everyone to make an initial contribution with their registration. All contributions made at registration will be included in the invoice (if applicable).
Crowdfunding
Even with very inexpensive participation fee and housing costs, we know that there are practitioners who want to participate who will be unable to cover the costs in addition to their travel costs. A crowdfunding campaign is being launched to raise necessary funds for this Assistance Fund. You can make a contribution to the crowdfunding campaign at any time.
A link to the Crowdfunding campaign will be added here and announced to those who have registered as soon as it is launched.
So, what does it REALLY cost to participate in this 7 day learning village?
What if I need some support?
If you really want to join the Learning Village, and your circumstances mean it will be challenging for you to fund the whole trip, we welcome a conversation.
Please contact one of the economy team members - Steve Ryman ([email protected]), Mel Geltch ([email protected]) and Melinda Varfi ([email protected]) - for a conversation about how we could support you, through the Assistance Fund - with funds raised in our Crowdfunding Campaign.
